Overview of the Wine
Shea Wine Cellars is the winemaking effort of grape growers Dick & Deirdre Shea. After ten years of selling all their grape production they decided to create their own expression of Shea Vineyard terroir.
They now use 20% of Shea Vineyard’s production for their own effort and sell the remaining grapes to some of the finest Pinot noir producers in Oregon, California and Washington.
It is the intention of Shea Wine Cellars to continue to make small quantities of world class Pinot noir and Chardonnay.
We roll from 2018 to 2019 - both are great vintages.

Winemaker's Tasting Notes
This year, we added a new element to our Chardonnay: concrete fermentation for a part of the blend. This lessens the already low oak impact and adds a rounder, riper element to a classic cool climate Chardonnay. As always, this is a wine that’s wonderful for food pairing due to its bright, acid-driven nature. 504 cases made.
95 Points - Wine Enthusiast (Editor's Choice) (2018)
Shea scores again with a luscious, toasty, palate-coating wine that way overdelivers for the price. Estate grown at one of the top vineyards in Oregon, this lovely wine melds caramel, apple, melon and light tropical fruit in a delicious and full-bodied wine whose components are perfectly matched. Mostly barrel fermented but blended with a percentage done in concrete egg, it's graceful, sappy and long.
