Overview of the Wine
SAVAR originated in Rind, hidden in nature, at 1350 meters, growing in a village filled with stories, where the old dreams meet new hopes, stretching grapevines toward the sky, connecting the sun with the soil. Every bottle of SAVAR invites you to be part of that connection and sour into your dreams, filling your life with beautiful stories, SAVAR next to you. In a quiet and old village, Rind between hills and centuries-old vineyards, Vardan Sahakyan, the founder of SAVAR, grew up hearing stories whispered by the vineyard winds and dreaming of putting his village's name on the world stage.
As the years went by, he kept pushing his dreams closer to reality, combining his love for wine with his many years of business experience. Even as he left Armenia, he held onto the dream - to return to his village and make a difference.
Rind, roosted at a high mountain, offered unique soil and grape varieties ideally suited for winemaking. The village had a rich history of winemaking, passed down through generations. SAVAR's location is breathtaking, at 1350 meters, with a panoramic view of the surrounding landscapes and the majestic mountains that frame the horizon. But it's more than just a beautiful place; it's a promise to uplift the village and its people.
Every bottle of wine from SAVAR carries the essence of this extraordinary place, where nature and human ambition come together in perfect harmony.

Winemaker's Tasting Notes
Made 100% from indigenous Khatoun Kharji grapes. Scott Stroemer, beverage director of Galit in Chicago, describes Khatoun Kharji as “a total acid freak.” With a yellow-green hue and near-colorless juice, Khatoun is known for its tart lemon, alpine flower and pineapple characteristics. “It’s great as a blending grape for Voskehat, which can be a bit flabby on its own,” he says.
