Overview of the Wine
The Champagne Guy Charlemagne embodies the excellence and heritage of a family dedicated to creating exceptional Champagnes. Founded by Guy Charlemagne himself, this house of Champagne is located in the village of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, in the heart of Côte des blancs, one of the most renowned wine-growing regions of Champagne.
The history of the Charlemagne family goes back several generations, when Guy Charlemagne decided to continue the family tradition of winemaking. Driven by his passion for vines and wine, he created his own Champagne house in 1892 and laid the foundations for a line of winemakers dedicated to excellence. The Charlemagne family attaches great importance to integrated viticulture and the preservation of the environment. The vines are worked with care, favoring nature-friendly practices and minimizing the use of chemicals. Soil health and biodiversity are at the heart of their approach, guaranteeing the exceptional quality of the grapes.
The harvests at Guy Charlemagne are carried out by hand, allowing careful selection of the ripest and healthiest bunches. This attention to detail ensures that only the highest quality grapes are used to make the cuvées. Winemaking at Guy Charlemagne is the result of a combination of tradition and innovation. The grapes are gently pressed, and the juices are vinified in stainless steel vats to pRéserver purity of aroma and freshness of fruit. Some of the wines undergo malolactic fermentation to bring creamy texture and additional complexity to the cuvées. The Champagnes Guy Charlemagne are aged in stainless steel vats and oak barrels, creating aromatic richness and silky texture. Cuvées age on lees for varying periods, giving them characteristic depth and elegance.

It is a Grand Cru champagne coming exclusively from a piece of vines called "Les Coulmets" also classified as Grand Cru on the exceptional terroir of Mesnil-sur-Oger on the Côte des Blancs.
It is a mono-cru and mono-parcel Champagne from a piece of exceptional vines planted in 100% Chardonnay grape variety.
The dress is bright and shiny light gold. On the nose, as well as on the palate, the champagne is airy and chiseled like a rare stone with touches of white flowers and citrus fruits, such as lychee or bergamot from Southern Italy. Roundness in the mouth with hints of hazelnuts and blanched almonds, pastries and spring acacia flower honey.
Ideal as an aperitif with smoked salmon canapés or Aquitaine caviar.
To be served around 10 - 12° C in order not to kill the exceptional fragrances and these remarkable flavors.
