Overview of the Wine
Per winemaker Jason Court: "I’ve been making wine for over 20 years now. As I’ve grown, I’ve kept in regular contact with Chris Carpenter (his friend, mentor and colleague). His friendship and mentoring means the world to me, especially as I explore the production of 'High End' Cabernet. It was through Chris that I got to know and partner with Mariano Navarro (Cardinale/Lokoya’s former vineyard manager), whose skill with the vines gives me huge confidence in the fruit I have available to me.
I have a deep love and respect for wine and food, and its fundamental role in bringing people together, sharing through cooking, eating, drinking, laughing, storytelling and memory making. In hindsight, I suppose it was almost inevitable that I've ended up here, doing this.

Winemaker Tasting Notes
This Mt Veeder Cab is rich in color, hue, depth, and extraordinary body. Screams of stone and soil, and all those wonderful aromas that float through the Fall breeze in the forest. This one is a monster waiting to be unleashed.
99 Points - Jeb Dunnuck
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Bruadair Vineyard is utterly brilliant and unquestionably in the running for the best Napa Cabernet Sauvignon around the $100 price point. It sports a deep purple hue as well as a gorgeous perfume of pure crème de cassis, forest floor, leafy herbs, tobacco leaf, and violets, with perfectly integrated background oak. With a deep, layered, multi-dimensional mouthfeel, medium to full body, perfect balance, and ultra-fine tannins, this remarkable, seamless, just about magical Mount Veeder Cabernet benefits from a decant and will evolve for 25+ years. It's even better than the 2018 and 2017, so hats off to this estate.
97 Points - James Suckling
Attractive aromas of ripe blackcurrants and blackberries with sea shell, crushed walnuts, sweet spices, chocolate, lead pencil and cedar. So much tension and persistence here with a full body and compact, finely grained tannins. It just keeps building up on the palate with delicious fruit and beautiful tannins. So long and deep. 83% Cabernet Sauvignon and 17% Malbec. Try from 2026.
96 Points - Wine Spectator
Packs serious punch and drive, with vivid boysenberry and mulberry fruit laced liberally with hibiscus and iris notes, all carried by a racy bolt of iron. Sleek and focused, with an anise note amid the lingering fruit. A modern-styled Mount Veeder Cabernet. Best from 2025 through 2038.
