Overview the Wine
Domaine Gassier is the result of a shared passion between Tina and Michel Gassier. Located at the tail-end of the Rhône Valley, their vineyards face the marshes of Camargue and the Mediterranean Sea. They have a Rhône Terroir under maritime influence, situated in the southernmost Rhône appellation: Costières de Nîmes. Gassier vineyards have been organic certified since 2008 and are now transitioning towards regenerative farming.
They believe in minimal intervention to enhance freshness, balance, and minerality.
As of 2022, Isabel Gassier, the youngest and 5th generation of their family, has joined the Domaine. With great energy and humility, Isabel is leading the transition to regenerative farming. She embodies the next generation, constantly striving for positive change and innovation.

Winemaker's Tasting Notes
Deep garnet in color with brilliant highlights, features notes of raspberry, garrigues, and a hint of orange zest. On the palate, there is incredible purity and freshness with loads of red fruits and fine tannins.
94 Points - Ian Blackburn
Love the finesse, the fruit purity and the very different position here. So many are over ripe, over oaked and over extracted... this is gentle, dare I say feminine. The gentle elegance is reminiscent of and older Rayas, but its fresh and gentle with a high ethos and love this style. 14/24/23/33 - 94 Points - drinks now through 2033
92 Points - Jeb Dunnuck
Coming from La Crau, Bedines, and Pignan, the 2021 Chateauneuf Du Pape checks in as 75% Grenache, 15% Syrah, and 10% Mourvèdre that was raised in old demi-muids. It's a beautiful wine with both red and black fruits as well as classic garrigue, flowers, and incense/spicy nuances. Medium-bodied, soft, supple, and balanced, it's one hell of a successful 2021 that has tons to love.
91 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
A blend of 75% Grenache, 15% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre aged in older demi-muids, Gassier's 2021 Chateauneuf du Pape boast aromas of black cherries, plums and raspberries. It's full-bodied, plush and round on the palate, then finishes long and bright, with a tart note.
