Overview of the Wine
Our awareness of nature’s rhythms and cycles has been perfected through observation over time: each season opens new horizons, every day we learn and understand a little more.

We have learned to pay attention, to grasp the subtle differences existing in nature and to preserve the true character of the grape in the expression of its land of origin.

Our daily farming gestures are elevated to creative impulses: it is our duty and privilege to wake up every morning and to be free to work according to the message that the earth conveys to us in that moment.

At the helm today, a fourth generation of winemakers run Foradori’s activities. It was Elisabetta Foradori and Rainer Zierock’s work that led to the salvage and regeneration of the Teroldego grape variety through their cultivation of the grape’s original genetic family. Today their children Emilio, Theo and Myrtha Zierock continue in their footsteps to run the winery.

Emilio manages wine production, while Theo oversees the winery’s business and commerce; Myrtha takes care of Foradori’s farming and gradual expansion.

Together the three of them oversee the smooth running of the winery, supported constantly by their mother Elisabetta.

Though Rainer sadly passed away in February 2009, his influence remains fundamental and today his ideas still continue to steer the development of the winery.

Winemaker's Tasting Notes
Tinaja Cilindrica is the name for the 350 liter capacity elongated clay container in which Morei spend 12 months maturing, unlike its vinous namesakes.

Morei Cilindrica is distinguished by its clarity of expression, precision and harmony. It mirrors processes, linked to the way clay helps to exchange and aggregate elements that are typically opposing.

95 Points - James Suckling
Purplish in the glass. Lively fruit on the nose, with bright raspberry and blackcurrant aromas wrapped up in aromatic herbs. The palate shows crisp, integrated acidity and lightly framed tannins. Delicious and so fresh. From organically and biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. Drinkable now, but better in two or three years.

93 Points - Wine Advocate
The Foradori 2022 Teroldego Morei sees fruit from a site with alluvial soils and lots of stones. This organic and biodynamic red is fermented in tinajas (amphorae) on the skins for eight months and aged in tinajas for 12 months without the skins. It offers a bright and punchy profile with wild cherry, tart plum and butter rose. The loose quality of the soils adds to the fragrant and delicate personality of this mid-weight wine.

92 Points - Vinous
A beguiling blend of black raspberries, exotic spice, leather straps, cocoa and crushed stones makes the 2022 Teroldego Morei impossible to ignore. This is juicy and fresh in style with lifted textures, crisp wild berry fruits and zesty acidity that keeps the energy remarkably high. Tactile mineral tones add a pleasant crunch as hints of white pepper and pomegranate linger over a bed of gently grippy tannins. The 2022 Morei has a more immediate feel than past vintages, yet its balance can not be denied. The purity alone is spellbinding.

91 Points - Wine Spectator
There's an accessible feel to this open-knit, medium- to full-bodied red, showing good integration of the racy acidity and sinewy tannins with flavors of pureed blackberry, dried mint and black tea leaf, singed orange peel and milled white pepper. Enjoy this today or with short-term cellaring. Drink now through 2029. 850 cases made, 125 cases imported.
