Overview of the Wine
Grosset Wines is an independently owned winery producing seven highly regarded premium wines each vintage. Established in 1981, the winery is situated in the historic township of Auburn at the southern tip of the Clare Valley, 100 kilometres north of Adelaide.

Jeffrey Grosset, owner and founder, has always been an innovator, challenging tradition and questioning accepted practices. He campaigned to institute the legal integrity of the Riesling grape in Australia, was a leading proponent for the introduction of screwcap closures and privately funded research into the subject.

Grosset Wines’ philosophy has remained steadfast over thirty years. The emphasis is on purity of fruit. The estate vineyards, which are ACO certified organic, are hand tended and each bunch of grapes is harvested at optimum ripeness. The winemaking process is gentle and uncomplicated. With dedication, discipline and the application of knowledge garnered through decades of experience, the result is the finest expression of variety and place.

In Australia this wine sells out the day the cellar doors open.  It is so allocated that it’s been eight years since I have been able to sell them.  But I finally, finally, finally got it again, and now is the time to buy.

Certified organic vineyards. Vegan.

This is the benchmark for dry Riesling worldwide.

Winemaker's Tasting Notes
This surprises with its almost riotous aromatics. Delightful floral aromas with hints of lime juice and beeswax - though it's white flowers that dominate. It's almost joyful or playful. On the palate, tight, fine and intense; a pure and unevolved thread of lime juice at its core. It has depth of flavour and intensity in its infancy with the suggestion that these will become hallmarks of the aged wine. And the aromatics!

98 Points  - James Suckling
Bright and expressive, with aromas of lemon blossoms, kaffir limes, green apples and crushed slate. The palate is finely etched and vibrant, showing zesty acidity layered with citrus, white peach and mineral flavors. Persistent and tightly wound, with excellent clarity and length. A fine bottling of this famed wine that balances power and restraint. Drink or hold. Screw cap.

96 Points  - Wine Advocate
The 2025 Polish Hill Riesling leads with a surprisingly delicate and floral nose. Usually, of the two wines, the Springvale slightly softer, more open and approachable on release, whereas the Polish Hill is all power and muscle and built for long-term aging. Here, the wine has a powerfully focused acid line, however the fruit is soft and plush—I am inclined to use words such as pretty, delicate and floral. There are notes of white rose, scratched lime zest, mandarin oil, river stone and white spice. The floral aspect is something to behold, however it refrains from dipping into the "rosewater" space. This is a beauty. 12.3% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.
