Overview of the Wine
Domaine Michaut is located in the village of Chichée in north-central France, halfway between Paris and Dijon. It is owned and managed by Maison François Martenot, situated in Vignoles, a village in eastern France, bordering Beune.
The Maison was founded in 1922 when Lucien Gustave Martenot purchased a 10-hectare estate in Savigny-lès-Beaune, dating to 1859. Through the years, more estates were acquired, including Domaine Michaut. In 2015, the Helfrich Family acquired the estate and merged cutting-edge technology with traditional techniques to produce award-winning wines.

Winemaker's Tasting Notes
Bright pale yellow in color. Open nose of white fruits with a nice minerality offering complexity. The palate is well-balanced and the finish is lemon flavored and fresh.
90 Points - Ian Blackburn
2023 is considered a GREAT vintage. This wine celebrates the 2023 with incredible bright, fresh, clean, pure fruit. The wine is built with value in mind and has nice balance and purity. The color is as expected, lean, bright, clean, fresh, the nose is vibrant and shows typical minerality, salt, green grannie smith apples, and some flourals. The mouth is clean, fresh, and has good energy. The wine is light on its feet and carries that value proposition nicely… a solid value at 90 points. 13.5/23/22/31.5
