Overview of the Wine
Our beautiful story began in 1734, a long time ago… Since then, five generations have passed, and the sixth has just embarked on the adventure. It all started around the Moulin de la Minière in Monnières, where, according to Napoleon III’s cadastral plan in 1857, vineyards were planted. Centuries have passed, our vineyard plots have replaced the wheat of old, and the mill remains an emblem of the well-known domaine for tourists and hikers.
In the family, the passion for wine has been passed down from generation to generation, and even from mother to daughter, with the domaine’s name following the surname: Marie and Auguste, Marie-Louise and Henri, then Monique and André, our grandparents. The latter, Monique Gaborit and André Ménard, gave life to a single domaine, the Domaine Ménard-Gaborit, located on one of the highest points in the Nantes vineyard, called the Butte de la Minière (at 58 meters), at the confluence of both Sèvre and Maine rivers.
What’s next?
The sons, Philippe and Thierry Ménard, took up the torch, accompanied by Pascale, Philippe’s wife. Then, since 2019, François and his wife Pauline have also joined this lineage of winemakers.
Today, Philippe and Thierry have only one motivation . : to develop uniques wines to create a real pleasure during the tasting and to give you a moment of happiness to share with friends or family.

Winemaker's Tasting Notes
Domaine Ménard-Gaborit has existed since 1734! Suffice to say that we are dealing with a family story.
'Les pieds sur Terre' is a parcel cuvée made by François Ménard, the last son. After studying Business, experiences abroad, he decided to reorient his studies towards viticulture and oenology in Anger. He discovered fields and techniques in Italy, Hungary, South Africa and ended up returning to the Domain.
This cuvée, François wanted it faithful to his inspirations: fresh, fruity but intended to accompany dishes. The nose is impressive, lively and captivating. The mouth is fresh and lively with a beautiful acidity. The end of the mouth is tannic, which is surprising for a white from this region, but is explained by the presence of seeds 24 hours during maceration. A great success, the result of great technicality!
92 Points - Wine Enthusiast
The wine is smoothly textured, showing ripe apples as well as crisper acidity. It is rich, dense with fine citrus at the end to give a vibrancy to the wine. Aromatic and full of energy, the wine is now ready to drink.
