Overview the Wine
Domaine Gassier is the result of a shared passion between Tina and Michel Gassier. Located at the tail-end of the Rhône Valley, their vineyards face the marshes of Camargue and the Mediterranean Sea. They have a Rhône Terroir under maritime influence, situated in the southernmost Rhône appellation: Costières de Nîmes. Gassier vineyards have been organic certified since 2008 and are now transitioning towards regenerative farming.
They believe in minimal intervention to enhance freshness, balance, and minerality.
As of 2022, Isabel Gassier, the youngest and 5th generation of their family, has joined the Domaine. With great energy and humility, Isabel is leading the transition to regenerative farming. She embodies the next generation, constantly striving for positive change and innovation.

Winemaker's Tasting Notes
This wine is a deep ruby red color. Aromas of ripe black fruit, violet and licorice intermingle harmoniously. Full and velvety, it reveals flavors of blackberry, cassis and hints of thyme and rosemary. Its finish is endowed with a fine grain of tannin and a pleasant freshness.
#20 Top 100 Best Buys of the Year and 93 Points - Wine Enthusiast
The nose of this wine reveals richness with deep dark plums, blackberries and wild thyme balanced by earthy topsoil. The wine exudes the essence of a freshly picked basket of fruit, demonstrating its purity. On the palate, herbaceous notes lead, followed by a burst of fresh cherry fruit, lightly framed by olive and green peppercorn. The tannins coat the front of the mouth as the acidity resets the palate.
92 Points - Jeb Dunnuck
Moving to the reds and starting with the 2019 Côtes du Rhône from tank, it reveals a medium to full-bodied, plush, sexy style as well as loads of blueberry liqueur, ground pepper, violets, and candied orange-like aromas and flavors. With plenty of mid-palate depth, ripe, sweet tannins, and a great finish, this is a pleasure-bent Côtes du Rhône well worth seeking out that will keep for 3-4 years.
