Overview of the Wine
More than 100 years of passion and experience have driven the family to produce wine for four generations. Everything began in 1883 with the birth of Luigi Zanasi, a servant and worker on the grounds of the great landowners of that time. In 1900, besides working the fields, he also dabbled in the production of wine, transforming his small farm house into a humble winery with 8 small wooden barrels with about 50 HL of wine, that he distributed to the inns in the neighboring towns with just a small cart pulled by his hors

Passion and experience: these are the characteristics that for four generations have guided Zanasi family’s wine making production in the heart of the Lambrusco Grasparossa in Castelvetro D.O.P. territory.

The Winery produces its wines following the tradition based on authenticity and simplicity, bringing to the table all of the genuine flavor of a generous and ancient land.

Winemaker's Tasting Notes
This wine represents the highest expression of the centenary tradition that is characterized by the highest selection of our hilly grapes. A masterpiece of technique and nature. As soon as you pour it into the glass, the Bruno Zanasi presents itself with a beautiful purplish foam that is the hat of a wine with an intense ruby red color and a dense and almost impenetrable texture. There is pulp, there is a very soft and spicy fruit, there is a fruit of excellent power and vigor first of all chromatic in this vivid purplish sparkling wine. Impenetrable and deep his visual and therefore olfactory mantle, with the alcohol it supports, which majestically pushes its mass of fully ripe and intensely spicy fruit. The scent is a mix of ripe red fruits, accompanied by a note of freshness, the latter enhanced by the bubbles. In the mouth the perlage returns to tickle the tongue. Dry, the fruity notes accompany the wine also in the taste analysis, the freshness and effervescence are well balanced by a feeling of moderate heat and a mild and non-aggressive tannin.

Well suited for all meals, it goes perfectly with international cuisine and why not, with pizza, sausage and mushrooms. Perfect with red and fatty meats, thanks to the lively effervescence it leaves the palate a perfect cleanliness and balance.
