Overview of the Wine
It was born as a family-inspired project in 1997. The motor idea is and has always been; to obtain wines that are characterized by their "origin". In our elaborations we have sought to highlight the elements that make up the place where the grapes are grown.
Since we started this unique adventure, 26 harvests have passed through the mills of the house. So far, we have released 24 harvests that try to reflect an oenological sensitivity subject to the context. Always maintaining a scale that allows us to take care of each bottle and thus, print the personality of the homeland as much as possible.
Our commitment is to transfer the flavors and experiences of the land where we live, through the wines we offer.

Winemaker Hugo d'Acosta's Tasting Notes
Piedra de Sol is our winemaking proposal for Casa de Piedra's white wine. Its first production was in 1999, in a Chardonnay vineyard planted at high density in 1996. Now, we have transformed our historic vineyard in San Antonio de las Minas into a new winemaking proposal, more in harmony with the changing climate and the learned winemaking skills. Emphasizing the contextual character of the site and avoiding in its production any practice that distracts from the expression of the grape from which it comes.
