Overview of the Wine
Some very famous wine brands were involved in crafting this bottle. The goal was to produce a value oriented wine, to be sold to high quality restaurants for by the glass without any competitive retail or grocery stores. Well - that didn’t work out. Tangley Oaks - is a brand that was planned, produced, bottled, canceled and now closed out …. There loss is your gain!

    Appellation: Mendocino County

    Varietals: 100% Chardonnay

Color: Golden yellow / Soft Straw

Aroma: Pear, ripe apple, citrus, spicy oak, nut meg

Taste: Nice entrance, juicy mid-palate with creamy oak and a lengthy finish.

    Winemaker's Tasting Notes

The Tangley Oaks Chardonnay is light straw in color with great aromatic intensity of apple, citrus, and a hint of toasted almond, from the Sonoma Coast, delivers fresh tropical aromas followed by flavors of pear with hints of nutmeg and vanilla on the palate. Refreshing with bright acidity, it is the perfect wine to celebrate with every day.

    89 Points- Ian Blackburn
Color - Soft Straw 13/15, Aroma  22/25 - No flaws, expectations are in check  Body 21.5/25 - lighter as anticipated but has merit (knowing that this wine is being closed out - hard not to judge what is in the glass when you know the aggressive price and can compare to others) Overall - 31/35 - a total score of 88.5 points    Really solid when you consider we will sell this at $6-$7   We don't put much on the website at this price - we are excited to find something at a low price that we can defend.  This is not a 100 point wine effort - but a wine that strives to deliver value and it does.  I think it will make a California Chardonnay lover very happy.  Fermentation: Malolactic fermentation (MLF) post-primary fermentation. The lees are stirred throughout the malolactic fermentation, giving the wine its rich mouthfeel. Aging continues on the lies until blending.  Aging: 35% new oak is primarily American and Hungarian, with a  small percentage of French.  Hungarian oak mimics French with Spicy Vanilla custard with nutmeg and the American rounds it out with softly sweet vanillin’s.
