Overview of the Wine
PINEA is born of the founders desire to make a wine on a par with the world’s finest. Its name is inspired by a beautiful and majestic Pinus Pinea tree, which is probably one of the oldest and tallest in the region. Surrounded by old vines, it has been witness to centuries of history. The PINEA story is really a love story. Love of wine and love of the northern Ribera del Duero, where the character of the Tempranillo grape is brought out like nowhere else in the world.

17 comes from a careful selection of grapes from the 35 hectares of the Pinea Estate; a mosaic of nine plots with different characteristics of soil, slope, orientation and age. The perfect synthesis of our terroir.

A wine full of meaning that shows the full beauty of Tempranillo. Subtle at first contact, bold and lively, it’s a wine you always want to come back to and it’s difficult to forget.

17 by PINEA is a 100% Tempranillo red wine, with a fine, velvety texture that combines a luxurious core of fruit and subtle notes of new and multipurpose wood, giving it freshness as well as body and intensity.

The wine is bright and full of life in the glass. Its cherry red colour with shades of violet leads to intense, perfumed aromas of red and black fruit, especially blackberries, plums and blueberries. Subtle balsamic hints from the oak wood mingle with sweet spices, vanilla, cocoa and lightly toasted oak. Smooth and powerful in the mouth, it leaves deep, rounded finish.

Sweet berries and chocolate with some bark, walnuts and hints of hazelnuts. It’s full-bodied with juicy, polished tannins and a long, flavorful finish. Lots of intense, focused fruit. Drink or hold.
