Overview of the Wine
Having immigrated from the Bremen area in 1650, we have been growing wine at our current location since 1738. Our winery is located at the beginning of the Kremstal wine-growing region. It connects the wine-growing region of the Wachau with the landscape of deeply cut river valleys typical of the Waldviertel, which is divided by forest and rock.

Due to the long roots, a lot of knowledge has developed in our family in dealing with the local steep slopes!

In the field of tension between the experience of generations and our curiosity about everything worth knowing, a living, meaningful tradition emerges.

We see ourselves as craftsmen, as mountain winegrowers with a past and present.

Winemaker's Tasting Notes
Elegant Veltliner with a seductive scent of ripe, yellow fruits. Juicy in the finish, due to the high lime content of the soils with dark spice of the finest kind. All in all, a model Veltliner that can be used as a universal food companion due to its balance.

93 Points - Falstaff
Light greenish-yellow, silver-coloured reflections. Fresh yellow tropical fruit, hints of ringlotte and mango, nuances of blossom honey. Juicy, elegant, delicate fruit sweetness, subtle acid structure, fine yellow pome fruit nuances in the finish, a multifaceted food wine.

93 Points - James Suckling
This unusual gruner veltliner is brimming with floral aromas and has a wonderful interplay of restrained creaminess, bright yellow apple and pear fruit and elegant acidity on the medium-bodied palate. Long, precise finish. Sustainable. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
