Overview of the Wine
No Girls celebrates the belief that empowered women create empowered wine—and champions this profession's many talented and independent women and beyond.

The wines are crafted by Karen Gasparotti, Resident Vigneronne and for Bionic Wines. The wines have earned routinely high accolades, with Wine Spectator calling them "some of the best Washington wines ever rated" by the magazine.

The grapes come from the La Paciencia vineyard, which means patience in Spanish—appropriate since the project was ten years in the making. The tightly spaced vines, planted on an angle in the Stones of the Walla Walla Valley, give No Girls a personality all its own, and the wines are focused and pure. Food-friendly creations reflect finesse, elegance, charm, and character.

Historically, women were excluded from the critical stages of wine production, hampered by the prevailing societal belief that it was strictly "a man's work." No Girls offers a new narrative driven by women's strength and resilience. The wines are as modern, opinionated, and powerful as the name suggests.

Tasting Notes
Right away on the nose this offers alluring red rose petals that combine with menthol, orange peel, white pepper and a dusting of Umami. The palate is plush and seamless with serious texture and verve. Medium to full-bodied red fruits parade with wet stone, Parma ham, kumquat zest and shades of steak tartare on the palate. Complex, delicious and neatly textured, enjoy this beauty now and over the next few years. Drink 2025-2033.

A finely tuned, expressive wine built on biodynamic farming and 50% whole-cluster fermentation ... it reveals a seamless fusion of aromatic lift, texture, and precision. On the nose, this Syrah bursts with crushed boysenberries, fennel seed, cracked white pepper, olive brine, and dried violets, woven together with a whisper of charred herbs and smoked lavender. The fruit is radiant yet savory, framed by a subtle edge of graphite and petrichor. Medium in body, it unfolds with graceful power—each sip a measured interplay of spice and structure. There’s a sleek muscularity here: the tannins are finely threaded, and the acidity lends a firm but buoyant frame. Flavors of tart plum skin, roasted thyme, and flint dance across the palate, leading into a finish that stretches with quiet intensity. Highly recommended.

The No Girls wines have lower stem inclusion typically than their Cayuse cousins but otherwise follow a similar approach in winemaking. Meaty, leathery tannins wrap around a medium-bodied, balanced midpalate of black tea, dried herb, and brooding black fruit in the 2022 Syrah, the nose pretty in lavender and violet. Age through 2030.

The alluring and wonderfully stony Syrah is a world-class wine ... this offers seaweed, allspice dusted smoked meats, green olives and shades of blackberry compote, with dark florals that all take shape in the glass. Medium-bodied, soft and refined, with great minerality and a smooth mouthfeel, this is drinking beautifully right now. Enjoy over the next eight to ten years. Drink 2025-2033.

This fragrant red has aromas of wild raspberries, pink peppercorns, aniseed and dried flowers on the nose. It’s medium-bodied, peppery, and powerful, but in a sleek, refined manner. Long finish with tension. About 50% whole-bunch fermentation. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold.

A dusting of violet florals and graphite gives way to red plums and sage as the 2022 Syrah entices from the glass. It's sleek and racy in style, with ripe red and hints of blue fruits propelled by juicy acidity. Wickedly fresh throughout, it finishes lifted and crisp, with just a slight tug of fine tannins through its long, mineral-intense finish.
