Winemaker's Tasting Notes
The 2023 Knight’s Crest Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon showcases inviting aromas of blackberry, black currant, dark cherry, and plum, followed by hints of cedar, cocoa, and baking spice. This wine offers beautiful depth and richness, contributing notes of blueberry and dark chocolate. On the palate, concentrated dark fruit flavors are framed by supple tannins, balanced acidity, and a long smooth finish. Blackberry, black currant, and ripe plum are complemented by layers of mocha, vanilla, and toasted oak. This Knight’s Crest is approachable in its youth, yet structured enough for short-term cellaring, and pairs beautifully with grilled steaks, braised short ribs, roasted lamb, and aged cheeses.

Deeply colored like purple crayon - this new Cabernet features ripe, chewy fresh cherries, plums, and spice.  The 2023 quality marks are evident, with nice balance and structure.  There are a few elevated touches of complexity with hints of leather and cigar box.  I think this is a terrific value and a true hit at this price.  Color 14, Nose 22.5, Taste 22.5, Overall 32 - 91 points - a fun and fresh wine - perfect as a daily drinker.
