Overview of the Wine
15 generations of Amoreau have worked our very special land to produce wines in respect of a family expertise which has been patiently acquired and passed down. We have sought to create a harmony with our environment by systematically refusing the use of chemical products. From the micro-organisms living in the soil to the various plants, animals and insects on the estate, we maintain and preserve that balance right to the glass of wine on your table. This process within an eco-system is the fruit of a collaboration between all the elements in the chain of life: humans, animals, plants and bacteria live together in symbiosis to bring you the purest and most enjoyable wines.

Winemaker's Tasting Notes
This non-filtered wine is produced from vines planted with 85% merlot, 7% cabernet sauvignon, 6% cabernet franc, 1% malbec and 1% carmenere. Emilien is obtained by a 2-year decantation in foudres and used barrels.
It has a garnet robe, tending towards ruby in young vintages, with orange hues for older vintages and onion peel for the very oldest.
A fruity nose with ripe red berry aromas, predominantly blackcurrant and redcurrant with burnt almond and occasionally mushroom and undergrowth. It boasts a round, full and delicate palate with velvety tannins and a long and pleasantly complex finish.
Emilien is a sophisticated wine that can be drunk young, thanks to its velvety tannins, or aged to discover the full depth of its terroir. It is a wine of great longevity.
Emilien is the perfect wine to accompany both family dishes and more sophisticated delicacies.
Our food pairing suggestions for Emilien:
. Homemade hamburgers / angus beef
. Roast chicken

96 Points - Revista Adega
Red blend composed from Merlot grapes (85%), Cabernet Sauvignon (7%), Cabernet Franc (6%), Malbec (1%) and Carménère (1%), cultivated according to the precepts of biodynamics, with spontaneous fermentation (without addition of exogenous yeasts and no addition of SO2 during the entire winemaking process) and later stage of 24 months in freaks and barrics. In an austere and tense profile, it impresses by the reactive and firm tannins and vibrant acidity, which give fluidity and depth to the wine. Energetic, precise and with clarity of mature red and black fruits at the right point, it has a juicy end, full of layers and persistent, with reductive touches, earthy, floral, balsamic, graphite, cold ash, licorice, cassis and blackberries. Still young, it's excellent now and has everything to get even better in the next few decades. Alcohol 14%
