Overview of the Wine
In 1919 a small group of farmers founded Cellers de l’Arboç, located in the small village of l’Arboç, in the Penedès area, in Catalonia. The winery was located in the center of the town and was built following the modernist style, typical of the time.

The winery began to vinify the varieties of the Macabeo region, Xarel·lo, Parellada. Mainly, to make cava, but also to produce still wines. Subsequently, the vinification of other varieties such as Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo and Merlot began.

It was one of the first wineries to produce and ferment the wines at low temperature in the Penedès. This technique allows the wines, which are used to make Cava and still wines, to maintain the freshness and Mediterranean aromas. This results in a high quality of the product once second fermentation takes place.

Currently, Bodegas de l’Arboç is made up of about 400 members who take care of about 1,000 hectares of vineyards. Over the years, Cellers de l’Arboç has become professional and elevated the quality standards of its products.

2006 was a key year for the history of Cellers de l’Arboç. It was at this time that they moved their location to a new building much more modern and with the most cutting-edge technology. This great investment resulted in a change in its operational strategy becoming one of the main producers in the area.

Winemaker's Tasting Notes
The farmhouses and dry stone borders have defined the Mediterranean landscape for many generations and have become a testimony to the way of life and traditions of the past. La Masia Bou is an 18th-century farmhouse, surrounded by vineyards, fruit trees and walls that protect and enclose the fields that were already cultivated by our ancestors. The stones of the Masia Bou and the surrounding vineyards are the silent witnesses of this history. This farmhouse is the birthplace of a cava made from the fruit of old vineyards, on plots that enjoy a diversity of microclimates as a result of their proximity to the coast and the altitude of some vineyards – up to 750 m above sea level.
