Overview of the Wine
Viñas del Cénit began its journey in the historic Tierra del Vino de Zamora in 2004, when its founders visited the region and were struck by the discovery of vineyards over 100 years old, hidden away in an almost forgotten corner. Convinced that these vineyards had reached their zenith (cénit in Spanish), they embarked on a project dedicated to highlighting and conserving the invaluable heritage of the ancient vines of the DO Tierra del Vino de Zamora.

In 2007, Viñas del Cénit became part of what is now Terraselecta, a company that at the time was beginning its quest to find singular vineyards that could express the unique character of Spain’s diverse wine regions.

José Manuel joined Viñas del Cénit in 2019 after years of experience, working both in the Zamora region and in Arribes del Duero, where he also runs his own project. He is committed to crafting honest wines that serve as a true reflection of the land where they are produced.

With both personal and professional ties to Tierra del Vino de Zamora, José Manuel embraces the challenge of consolidating the tradition that has been meticulously forged over many years at Viñas del Cénit and that we intend to continue through our wines.

The authorized white varieties are Malvasía, Moscatel de grano menudo, Verdejo, Albillo, Palomino and Godello while the authorized red varieties are Tempranillo, Garnacha and Cabernet Sauvignon.

    Winemaker's Tasting Notes
Field Blend Bonales revives the century-old tradition of Tierra del Vino de Zamora, crafting a red wine that reflects the diversity of the old vineyard. Characterised by its complex aromas and superb volume, it balances freshness and an authentic expression of its varietal character. Wine that expresses itself in a very lively and fresh way on the nose, with fruity, balsamic and floral aromas. Very complex because of its varietal diversity. In mouth it is voluminous and fun at the same time, with a very faithful reflection of its aromatic expression.

    93 Points - James Suckling
A blend of 70% tempranillo with doña branca, verdejo and palomino. Aromas of plums, dark fruits and a touch of underbrush lead the nose. The palate is medium- to full-bodied, ample and firm, yet retains freshness and drinkability, offering both structure and lift. Drink now.
