Overview of the Wine
Berberana is one of the oldest and finest names in Rioja. Founded in 1877 the Bodega in Cenicero, in Rioja Alta, is now a modern winery with ageing facilities housing over 50,000 barrels and producing wine of the highest standard. From the world famous, high quality wine region of Rioja. The river Ebro helps temper the continental climate, although the long summer days and strong sun encourage deeply flavoured wines. The wine is initially kept in vats for a period of 12 months and then transferred to oak casks where it matures for 24 months for the classic Rioja flavours. Further ageing in bottle before released means it is ready to drink when purchased.
