Overview of the Wine
We’ve been fortunate to call the Napa Valley home for more than two decades. Living in this beautiful place, we have forged cherished friendships and close partnerships with world-renowned vintners, growers, and winemakers and honed our love of fine wines. After years of dreaming and planning, together with our daughters Alexandra and Elena, we are delighted to present Annulus and our own interpretation of the wines and Napa Valley vineyards we love.

The spirit and passion we bring to Annulus is also reflected in our decades-long dedication to unraveling the mysteries of a rare, life-threatening autoimmune disease called scleroderma.  

As Board Members of the Scleroderma Research Foundation (SRF) and Directors of the research program, we have spent many years building a pioneering research portfolio and an innovative global clinical trial platform designed to advance new therapies for scleroderma.

Each year, as a part of our fundraising efforts, we join forces with a star-studded group of comedians, actors, musicians and chefs for the cause at the SRF’s signature event, “Cool Comedy • Hot Cuisine.”

Winemaker's Tasting Notes
This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is harvested from Block D1 of the Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard located on the western bench of the St. Helena AVA at the foot of Spring Mountain. In 2021, an early bud break, a long hang time, naturally small berries and lower than average yields produced intense, concentrated flavors that married seamlessly with the minerality characteristic of Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard.

The signature profile of this famed heritage vineyard includes powerful black fruit notes that rest on a backbone of minerality. The nose offers up notes of dark chocolate, and baking spice, while the dense, lush, dark-fruited palate seamlessly integrates silky tannins for a long, generous finish.

Gorgeous red and black fruits, graphite, baking spices, and chocolate give way to a medium to full-bodied, ultra-pure, seamless, finesse driven Cabernet Sauvignon. This brilliant wine will… have two decades or more of prime drinking.

Full-bodied with silky tannins, blackberry fruit, blueberry compote, and wonderfully rich mocha spices that thread a sweet line interrupted by savoury notes of salty minerals on the long finish.

This first vintage from a new Napa winery is packed with red and black fruit and firm, fine-grained tannins that will help it age gracefully. Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, it offers raspberries, blueberries, savory hints of sage and a chalky, minerally feel. Fruit reemerges on the palate and speeds through the finish. Full-bodied.
