Overview of the Wine
Bohème was founded in 2004 near the town of Occidental, 50 miles north of San Francisco Bay and 7 miles from the Pacific Ocean.

The essential tasks of grape growing, fermentation and aging are conducted by a dedicated team of vineyard and cellar workers. Four distinct soils and climates at elevations 600 to 1,250 feet give singular expression to each wine.

"We at Bohème devote our lives to winegrowing on California’s Sonoma Coast.
Our namesake Bohemian Highway meanders Sonoma’s Coast Range of redwoods, valleys and farms. Crafting wine from this place is a formidable, yet deeply fulfilling, endeavor. The frontiers are numerous: vine nutrition, pruning technique, trellising, soil biology, cover crops, grape chemistry, fermentation, cooperage, èlevage and others. A complete grasp of but one can take a lifetime. We take great efforts to expand our knowledge and bottle a most captivating wine, yet Mother Nature is the true maker of wine—and stands within each of a vintner’s moves. Indeed it’s nature’s unknown that gives magic to great wine."

Winemaker's Tasting Notes
Taylor Ridge Vineyard is situated on a ridgetop, 5.3 miles from the Pacific Ocean. Its sandy loam soil is derived from prehistoric beaches that, over millennia, rose to 915 feet elevation. Cool fog from Tomales and Bodega Bays drifts over the vineyard, permitting slow ripening of the fruit.

Black cherry, pomegranate, spiced cranberry and strawberry. Bohème's coolest-climate site with delicate dried cherry, pomegranate, wassail, violet and sage-spice aromas. The palate is equally high-toned with elegant red fruit, clove, orange rind, cinnamon and baking spices.

Pairs with grilled salmon, roast chicken, mushroom dishes.

95 Points - Wine Enthusiast
This light, balanced and well-structured wine from a slight elevation shows a depth of juicy strawberry built along supple tannins. Giving and generous in fruit, it is lengthy and inviting, with a floral element of violet and rose that beautifully compel. Virginie Boone

94 Points - Wine Independent
The 2019 Pinot Noir Taylor Ridge was fermented with 25% whole clusters. Pale to medium ruby-purple in color, it bursts with bold notes of juicy blackberries, Bing cherries, and cranberry preserves with suggestions of fallen leaves, dried Provence herbs, and lavender. The medium to full-bodied palate is elegantly styled, bright, and refreshing, with soft tannins and a long, red berry-laced finish.
