Overview of the Wine
It is on a family property that the first vineyards of the estate were born.

The adventure began in 2010 on a plot of Dominique Zuria, last "Pialincu" , man living in the village of Bonifacio and going to work on the "piale", the limestone plateau, on the back of a donkey.Without a doubt, the culture of the land is a family affair! Today the plots are distributed around the new cellar and the city of Bonifacio, allowing an exploration of various terroirs:

• 3 Hectares in Stintinu (Maora)
• 2 Hectares in Musella
• 6 Hectares in Spinella
• 2 Hectares in Santa Giulia
• 3 Hectares in Longa Valley

The Sciacarellu and Vermentinu are mainly cultivated, faithfully accompanied by other only endemic grape varieties.

The cultivation of our vineyards has been part of a responsible approach to the environment and the ecosystems surrounding our vineyards from the outset. That is why we work in organic farming, in dynamic bio transition step by step.

Proud and aware of the wealth of our land and their potential, Domaine Zuria nevertheless remains a company on a human scale. Since the spring of 2021, the Domaine Zuria project has been further implemented thanks to the construction of our new cellar at the entrance to Bonifacio. Fabulous tool, we welcome individuals and professionals in our tasting cellar.

Tasting Notes
On tasting, this wine reveals a bright garnet hue and a generous nose of ripe red fruits, such as cherry, accented by pepper and floral hints. On the palate, it delivers a silky texture, fine tannins, and a refined finish, marked by delicate acidity and spicy notes. Perfect with roasted red meat or a wild mushroom sauté, the Domaine Zuria Initiale 2023 Rouge captivates with its freshness and authentic Corsican character.

On the limestone soils of Bonifacio, the 2023 Initiale is a Sciacarellu matured in a variety of containers: vats, eggs and casks. The result is a wide range of aromas, from strawberry cream to pencil lead, clove, and cinnamon. On the palate, the wine has soft, delicate, extremely fine tannins, for a suave, greedy, full texture. The balance is beautifully achieved in this young 2023 vintage, promising a bright future. The aromas of white tobacco on the finish and the persistence are magnificently realized.
