Overview of the Wine
Domaine Morisseau is located in Blacé, in the rolling hills of southern Beaujolais.

Here, ancient gneiss soils, carefully tended vineyards and the character of each vintage shape wines defined by freshness, balance and precision.

Our vineyards are rooted in ancient gneiss, a metamorphic rock formed under intense pressure and heat over millions of years.

Naturally well-drained, these soils influence vine growth and form an essential part of the identity of our vineyards in Blacé.

The vineyard changes throughout the year, and every season plays a part in shaping the next vintage.

Our work is guided by observation, patience and attention to each parcel, with the aim of harvesting healthy grapes that faithfully express their origin.

Winemaker's Tasting Notes
Our most structured expression of the domaine, Le Crêt is crafted from carefully selected old-vine Gamay, offering depth, freshness and remarkable ageing potential.

98 Points - James Suckling
The nose is so overwhelmingly beautiful that you’re already hooked. Incredibly concentrated black-fruit aromas, plus earthy, spicy and floral complexity on the breathtakingly vibrant, medium-bodied palate. Incredible drive and energy at the super-long and silky finish. Limited production. Matured for 21 months in French oak casks and bottled unfiltered. Drink or hold.
