Overview of the Wine
Quevedo Winery is a family-owned producer in Portugal’s Douro Valley, with roots in grape growing that date back to 1889. After generations of supplying grapes to major Port houses, the Quevedo family began bottling wines under their own label in the early 1990s, embracing a more independent and quality-focused approach.

Today the estate is run by siblings Oscar and Claudia Quevedo, who continue the family tradition while bringing a modern perspective to the winery. Quevedo is known for producing expressive Ports and Douro wines that highlight the region’s historic vineyards, combining careful vineyard stewardship with precise, contemporary winemaking.

Winemaker's Tasting Notes
This Tawny Port was crafted by blending a selection of our cellar’s best aged Ports averaging 10 years. These Ports aged in old neutral wood casks, each with its own personality. The result: A smooth, rich, complex, multi-layered and very balanced 10-Year-old Tawny.

Viticulture:
Hand-harvested, sustainable, and dry-farmed grapes.

Fermentation:
Grapes were completely destemmed and fermented slowly with temperature control up to 28°C. Fermented in stainless steel vats.

Aging:
Aged and matured in stainless steel and seasoned French oak and chestnut barrels. This Tawny was blended with other vintages, creating an average aging time of 10 years. Gently filtered before bottling.

Tasting Notes:
Garnet core with brick edge. This Tawny is quite complex combining a fresh and young character of dried red fruits while developing the aged Port aromas like plums, raisins, fresh hazelnuts and almonds. Nice spicy entry on the palate followed by a touch of red fruits. The mid palate is filled with dried fruits while the finish complements its complexity by adding layers of spices and caramel. The balance between acidity, sugar, and alcohol is perfect leaving a drier feeling that is most welcome.

Pairs with dried fruits mix and candied fruits chocolate bar.

90 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Colour light brown with hints of orange. Aroma very balanced with flavours of dried fruit, cinnamon and a certain floral note. Well defined aromas of wood, resulting from ageing in very old oak. On the palate light coffee beans. Nice lingering finish.
