Winemaker's Tasting Notes
Our fifth vintage finds the vineyard well established and producing greater depth, richness and complexity. This expression of Vangone Estate Cabernet Sauvignon slowly opens up, as nuanced and enticing aromas roll out of the glass one after the other in an unending parade for the senses, urging you to slow down and savor the entirety.  The vineyard's hillside power is again showcased producing a dense, opulent wine of palate drenching fruit seasoned with hints of spice, cedar and earth.  It's both elegantly supple and densely powerful at the same time with a persistent finish that make it prime for decades of development. An exciting and mature expression of Vangone's depth and power.

The 2019 Vangone Cabernet Sauvignon is deep garnet-purple in color. It has a profound, powerful nose of crème de cassis, plum preserves, and chocolate-covered cherries, followed by hints of spice cake, lavender, fragrant soil, jasmine tea, and cloves. The full-bodied palate is concentrated and dense, with layer upon layer of black fruits and loads of sparks of exotic spices, supported by velvety tannins, finishing with epic length.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is cut from the same cloth, with extraordinary aromatics, full-bodied richness, dazzling purity, and ripe, polished tannins. A wine that has everything, with ripe red and black fruits, some bloody, iron, floral, and savory nuances, and a stacked mid-palate, it's a "wow" wine that will benefit from just a few years in the cellar and cruise for over two decades.
