Wines that reveal the passion and uncompromising craft that went in their creation. Fifty miles northwest of Santa Barbara, California, on a steep, south-facing cliff, a short few miles from the Pacific Ocean, Mail Road meets its end at the geographic center of The Sta. Rita Hills AVA, the historic and iconic Mt. Carmel Vineyard. The wines produced by Mt. Carmel fruit are remarkable in their lean toward site specifically and marked by deep concentration, exceptional depth, structural complexity and bracing acidity.

The 2021 Chardonnay Sta. Rita Hills offers a richer, nicely oaked profile that includes honeyed stone fruits, toasted spice, crushed stone, and salted citrus-like nuances. It's rich, medium to full-bodied, and has a concentrated, mouth-filling profile that's grounded by a beautiful spine of vibrant acidity. It benefits from air, and this is another awesome Chardonnay from this team that readers will absolutely love.

The 2021 Chardonnay Sta. Rita Hills opens with a beautifully lifted, floral nose of lilies, daffodils, white peach and lime zest aromas. The palate is medium-bodied and lands at the intersection of plush power and focused, incisive minerality. It concludes with a bright, refreshing and gently waxy finish. It should drink beautifully over the next 5–7 years.

The 2021 Chardonnay (Sta. Rita Hills) is brisk and lively. Lemon confit, mint and whtie flowers run through this exotic, creamy, distinctive white. This mid-weight Chardonnay is very easy to like. Vibrant acids and phenolic undertones frame the long, savory finish.
