Overview of the Brand
Cristom Vineyards was established in 1992 by the Gerrie family to grow and craft distinguished wines of place that honor individual sites and traditional techniques. Family-owned for over thirty years, we remain stewards of our east-facing volcanic hillside in the Eola-Amity Hills focused on growing benchmark Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

Bringing together biodynamic and organic farming methods, we farm the land with the next 100-years in mind. Our winegrowing centers on the philosophy that the greatest expression of terroir produces the finest wines. The cornerstone of our winemaking is rooted in traditional methods – site selection, low yields, whole-cluster fermentation and native yeasts – to produce balanced, dynamic wines of intensity, structure and length.

Winemaker's Tasting Notes
Pronounced floral aromas of rose and lavender are layered with blue fruit and plum, accented by subtle hints of earth. The palate is well balanced with fresh acidity, showcasing tart cherry and raspberry flavors.

Drinking well now, and can age until 2036 or longer. Suggested to pair with Apple Cider Risotto with Bacon & Butternut Squash

The nose is very savory, earthy and botanical, with red roses, sandstone and minerals. The palate is dense and concentrated, with fresh, pure fruit flavors. Full-bodied and structured with a long finish. This is drinkable now but built to age. Open after 2028.

I tasted the 2024 Mt. Jefferson Cuvée Pinot Noir from tank a few days before it was due to be bottled. It has slowly opening aromas of blackberry and black cherry, earth and violets. The medium-bodied palate matches concentrated, floral fruit with well-integrated oak spice. It™s framed by silky tannins and fresh acidity and has a nuanced finish.
