Overview of the Wine
The passion project of a former rock band manager, Decibel is a counter-culture winery. Not satisfied with the status quo, Decibel has cemented an international fan base that started in Hawkes Bay, NZ, migrated to Philly, PA and now stretches across state lines, led by malbec.

Driven to produce fine but fun wines from sustainable sites, Decibel bottles complement a laden table surrounded by loved ones. A philosophy lived in earnest from our central home in Hastings, where the Decibel urban tasting room sits as the vinous heart of the city.

A celebration of community and family — those we’re born into and those where we earn that deep, familial embrace, Decibel welcomes artists, musicians, and wine curious folk no matter where you come from and no matter where you are drinking a Decibel.

Winemaker's Tasting Notes
The nose shows lemongrass, kaffir lime and red grapefruit. Hints of crisp nectarine, rich nougat and citrus rind evolve on the back of the nose. The palate begins fresh with bright peachy fruit, pineapple and is plusher than expected once it hits the mid-palate. The finish has a driving acidity that is cuddled by hints of fruit sweetness, leaving the mouth watering for another sip.

Ripe, pure fruited, varietal and refreshing bouquet of apple and lemon, pear and white fleshed orchard fruits. A finer layer of tropical fruits are quickly superseded by fresh herbs and a touch of bell-pepper and spice. Crisp, salivating and dry as the wine touches the palate, flavours of citrus, apple and orchard fruit along with moments of tropical follow. Well made, fresh, plush and ready to drink from day of purchase through 2027. Excellent value.
