Overview of the Wine
The roots of the Leflaive family go back to 1717 when Claude Leflaive took up residence in Puligny-Montrachet, intent upon cultivating several acres of vineyards. The domaine, in its present form, was created by Joseph Leflaive between the years of 1910-1930, as a result of his successive purchases of vineyards and houses. Domaine Leflaive has been entirely a family domaine since its creation. Brice de La Morandière, great-grandson of the founder, Joseph Leflaive, represents the fourth generation at the head of the domaine. In 2015, after an international corporate career, he succeeded Anne-Claude, pioneer in biodynamics. It is with the same philosophy of respect for the great terroirs, humility toward the forces of nature and relentless pursuit of excellence in viticulture and in winemaking that the domaine will continue to grow in the future.

Winemaker's Tasting Notes
Green golden in color, with spectacularly fragrant and mouth-wateringly beautiful aromas, on the palate this is rich yet elegant, with sumptuous fruit concentration, vibrant acidity, and fantastic, creamy texture.
Ideal with delicate food, fish and seafood, thin white meat and fried veal
97 Points - Jasper Morris
A domaine wine. Pale clear lemon. This again has one of the toastier noses, the effect of the second elevage on full lees. The fruit explodes on the palate, pure ripe white apples if one has to specify but both the class and the texture are impeccable. And perfect aftertaste. A strong 4 stars, a candidate for five.
93-96 Points - Burghound
Prominent notes of honeysuckle, Granny Smith apples, spice and a plenitude of spice elements are similarly wonderfully fresh and bright. The rich, delicious and succulent medium-bodied flavors also possess a highly sophisticated mouthfeel along with ample punch on the finely detailed, focused and hugely long finish. This too is a wine of class and grace that should age effortlessly over the next 12 to 15 years. A stunner of a Pucelles.
