We hear people say that all the time!  So we decided let's go in deeper and study this amazing grape varietal.  We are going to taste and discuss Cab Franc from around the world and make a few more fans! 

As we have been figuring this varietal out - and growing it in better venues - the wine has improved and it has increased in popularity.  Now there are references from all over the world, and at this tasting we have gathered some of the brand champions - the greats - and we will from the LOIRE VALLEY (FRANCE) - NAPA Valley  - a celebrity wine of the Right bank of BORDEAUX (FRANCE) and a Paul Hobbs rendition from ARGENTINA!   

Cabernet Franc is considered a PARENT grape varietal - most known as the parent of Cabernet Sauvignon but did you know it’s also the Parent of Merlot?  Famous for its color, and nose of red fruits, hints of graphite and kiss of bell pepper - in a day where “pyrazines” were looked at as the enemy, now they appear to be stylish and in fashion.
