Overview of the Sake
Situated in Southwest Japan near Kobe, the brewery was established in 1716. The 14th generation owner, Mr. Ihoriya, specializes in brewing rich, full flavored sake using Omachi rice, the oldest heirloom variety only grown in Okayama. Layers of flavor and rich mouthfeel is further enhanced by the pure artesian water from its own well at the brewery.

Tasting Notes
AN is brewed with Omachi rice, the oldest heirloom sake rice variety and ancestor to the renowned Yamada Nishiki rice. Some brewers compare Omachi to Pinot Noir, difficult to cultivate but offer potential for an elegant and age-worthy finished product. AN takes one of the character from the owner’s last name Mr. Ihoriya, the 14th generation owner guiding the brewery now in its 300+ years. Label design pays homage to the local high-end denim industry that is world famous for raw denim. Polish: 60% SMV: +3 Acidity:1.6
