What to Expect
Once you sign up - we will include you as one of the panel of tasters. This is not a recording where you watch the host tell you what you should like… this is a discussion about the wines, sometimes with the winemaker, but most of the time wine expert and host Ian Blackburn gets to the core information about the winery - about the wine we are tasting and unravels the wine for discussion… sometimes we all agree the wine is NO GOOD! Sometimes we agree the wine is superior in the line up… each event comes with its own discoveries and the guests (YOU) are the tasters… ENJOY tasting with one of the top experts in the marketplace - To learn more about Ian - Click Here.

The history of the Charlemagne family goes back several generations, when Guy Charlemagne decided to continue the family tradition of winemaking. Driven by his passion for vines and wine, he created his own Champagne house in 1892 and laid the foundations for a line of winemakers dedicated to excellence.
The Charlemagne family attaches great importance to integrated viticulture and the preservation of the environment. The vines are worked with care, favoring nature-friendly practices and minimizing the use of chemicals. Soil health and biodiversity are at the heart of their approach, guaranteeing the exceptional quality of the grapes.
Guy Charlemagne, Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Brut Reserve, Champagne, France, NV
This brut cuvée comes from Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and Oger, made solely with grand cru Chardonnay. The blend is usually of 2-3 vintages. The wine goes through 100% malolactic fermentation, then rests en tirage for 36 months. Finesse plays a lead role here, finished with a light dosage of 8 grams per liter. It possesses an elegance and vivacity that will allow for myriad pairings but is particularly appreciated as anapéritif.
