Overview of the Wine
Mario and Anna Monticelli work with Azienda Agricola Reguta to produce the Paisley Friuli Pinot Grigio. Reguta is located in the municipality of Pocenia, within the region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia in northeast Italy. Reguta was founded in 1928 by Ettore Anselmi. Ettore’s sons, Giuseppe and Luigi began working alongside their father in the 1980s and inherited their father’s same passion for the land. Now the next generation, Alessio, Enrico and Alessandro have been brought in to continue the family tradition of producing world-class Friuli wines.
Reguta greatly benefits from its close proximity to the Adriatic sea. The mild Bora wind and maritime influence lower the humidity and increase the air circulation in the vineyards, both essential for high quality grape growing. The gentle sea breeze adds a compelling layer to the flavor profile of the Pinot Grigio. The soils consist of a marl and sandstone base with components of marine fossils.

Winemaker's Tasting Notes
The Paisley Friuli Pinot Grigio wafts from the glass with alluring aromas of white stone fruit, ripe honeydew melon, yellow pear, white spring flowers, Alpine herb and honeysuckle. The palate showcases bright acidity and a soft rounded mouthfeel. The stunning freshness and underlying minerality make it an extraordinarily approachable and enjoyable wine.
90 Points - Ian Blackburn
Great Example - Fresh, clean, light, but with good quality marks, weight and density, and lenght. White Peach, asian pear, fresh flowers, with fresh aromas, crispness, and rounded mouth. I think this is a great value. Score 90 points 13 + 22.5 + 22.5 + 32 - Drank at the Lobster in Santa Monica with Oysters and purchased for the store.
