Join us for a night in Loire with famed fine wine importer Kermit Lynch and Michelin-Starred Chef Christophe Emé,

Ian and Christophe will conspire to inspire, as they deliver dinners to all corners of Los Angeles. 

We're creating wonderful wine moments with amazing cuisine from one of our great chefs, authentic wines from Kermit Lynch with passionate presentations from the winemakers on Zoom...and all we need is you!

*Note that for this dinner we offer pick up from either Studio City or Santa Monica. UBER or direct delivery are also available for an additional fee.

  • You may participate from anywhere - we can even OVERNIGHT the wines far and wide. We can also supply you with RECIPES if obtaining the dinner is out of reach!
  • Chef is doing the food 100% by himself, from scratch - and he is FROM the Loire Valley! We work to impress!

ABOUT CHRISTOPHE EMÉ

At 15,  Emé began an apprenticeship at the Hôtel de France in Contres, embarking on a journey that would take him into the world’s most rarefied kitchens. During his career, he honed his skills at the Michelin two-starred Auberge des Templiers in the Loire Valley and cooked alongside such luminaries as Gérard Rabaey in Switzerland and maverick chef Marc Veyrat at his three-star Auberge de l’Eridan, in the French Alps. In Paris, Émé worked with chef Michel Rostang at his eponymous restaurant in the 17th Arrondissement, and with Philippe Legendre at Paris’ opulent three-star Taillevent and later assisted Taillevent owner Jean-Claude Vrinat in opening the exclusive Normandie Grill at the Hotel Oriental in Bangkok.
Emé arrived in the United States in 2001, briefly working in New York, before moving on to Los Angeles to cook at the venerable L’Orangerie. There he introduced his signature brand of modern French cuisine, which eschews heavy, cream-based sauces in favor of intensely flavored emulsions and natural jus. After the traditional formality of L’Orangerie, Emé opened the legendary Michelin starred Ortolan.

ABOUT KERMIT LYNCH
Kermit Lynch was raised in San Luis Obispo, but his name has become synonymous with French and Italian wines. In 1972, with a $5,000 loan and maybe a bit of gumption, this writer/musician opened Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant with thirty-five cases of wine stacked on the floor. Attracted by the Old World wine cultures of Europe, Kermit became a retailer, distributor, and national importer for authentic wines that express their terroir. Much like his close friends, the late food writer Richard Olney and Chez Panisse’s founder Alice Waters, Kermit’s influence has been enduring. He has had so much success shining the spotlight on small, artisan producers that he has won two James Beard awards and was knighted by the French government with their prestigious “Legion d’Honneur.”

Kermit’s creative nature continues to extend beyond the two doors of his Berkeley storefront. In 1998, he purchased the historic Domaine Les Pallières in Gigondas in partnership with his friends, the Brunier brothers of Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe. In addition to having three books published, Adventures on the Wine Route (1988, Veuve Cliquot Wine Book of the Year), Inspiring Thirst (2004), and the 25th Anniversary Edition: Adventures on the Wine Route (2013), his passion for roots music has driven him to record five CDs so far. Kermit and his wife, photographer Gail Skoff, divide their time between Berkeley, California and Provence, France—where Kermit says he is “near enough to Domaine Tempier that I can fill up the trunk of my car whenever I need to.”

ABOUT ANTHONY LYNCH
Importer Kermit Lynch and his wife Gail Skoff had settled part of each year in Provence when their second child, Anthony, was born in 1990 - a great vintage in all regards! Anthony enjoyed six months in France each year until age twelve, getting to know the vineyards of Bandol in which he played for countless hours as a child. After graduating from Cornell University, where he learned to speak Italian among other studies, Anthony began working full-time at Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant. He currently has roles in the marketing, retail, wholesale, and importing departments. He savors the opportunity to travel to France and Italy to meet the growers, taste their wines, and establish new relationships with compelling producers. When he is not championing his father's cause in the ever-changing modern wine industry, he can be found at table sipping a glass of Bandol rosé or cru Beaujolais in the company of good friends and family.
