Overview of The Wine
First Lady wines are in tribute to Norma Ratcliffe, who has been making wine on the Warwick Estate since the 1970’s and is considered the “First Lady” of the South African wine industry. Elegant, balanced and fresh fruit flavours translate into pink perfection. Fragrances of wild strawberries and rose petals. Crisp and refreshin, yet weighty enough to play nicely with food. Awarded 87 Points by Wine Advocate.
Grapes are picked at low sugars and ripeness to make this delicate and juicy Rose. Skin contact is kept to a minimum to ensure the beautiful light colour of the wine. Fermentation take place in stainless steel and bottled soon after the fermentation is complete to ensure the freshness stays in the bottle.
