Overview of the Wine
MQ Wines is a young family project, which embraced with all the passion the concept of “boutique winery”, dedicated to the production of premium wines of Alvarinho, in the “Valley of Ares” brand. The vineyards are located in the middle sub-region of Monção and Melgaço (Quinta do Mato), family owned since 1683.
According to Miguel Queimado, “For us, the focus on small production, is more than just a few bottles, is a state of mind, is the desire to know and passionately control all grape production times and wine, each vine, each bottle. What drives us is the passion for wine, the terroir, is the enthusiasm to bring you an exclusive wine designed by us!"

Citrus color. Intense wine with citrus, pineapple and apricot aroma. Flavor harmonious, with good structure and balanced acidity. Elegant and persistent end of mouth

93 points (2020) - Ian Blackburn - wonderful nose of tropical fruits, citrus and cling peaches with persistent and punctuated minerality. Ripe on the nose (hypnotic) but not sweet, detailed stone, dense and viscous from lower yields; this reserve level effort shows true craftsmanship and superior quality marks. Color 14/15, Aroma 23/25, Body 23/25 and Overall Impression of 33/35 = 93 points
