Overview of the Wine
Rombauer Vineyards is a Napa Valley based, family-owned winery founded in 1980 by Koerner and Joan Rombauer. Dedicated to providing gracious hospitality, the Rombauer family and staff take pride in creating joyful moments for their customers across the country and at their Napa Valley and Sierra Foothills tasting rooms. Rombauer owns and sustainably farms over 670 acres of vineyards in Carneros, Atlas Peak, Stags Leap, St. Helena, Calistoga, and the Sierra Foothills. Rombauer’s Chardonnays, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignons, Zinfandels and Sauvignon Blanc are beloved by wine enthusiasts around the world.
The late Koerner Rombauer was one of the legends of the Napa wine trade—a larger-than-life figure famed for his generosity and charisma, and a man who simply knew great wine.
He was a friend to us dating back to our early days in the business, and we’re honored to share his eponymous winery's famous Carneros Chardonnay. It’s an iconic Napa cuvée that’s landed on the Wine Spectator Top 100 list multiple times, with the magazine’s critics noting: “Rombauer defines the California Chardonnay style that so many adore.”

Winemaker's Tasting Notes
On the nose, beautiful aromas of ripe yellow peach, meyer lemon, and chamomile mingle together with hints of clove and vanilla. The peach, lemon, and vanilla spices continue onto the palate which is rich and concentrated, the flavors blending seamlessly supported by a creamy round mouthfeel. The lush back palate is lifted by both sweet fruit flavors and balanced acidity, ending with a lingering finish that will leave you wanting another sip.
