Overview of the Wine
Quinta da Lapas’s outstanding location, its rolling hills, soil complexity and diversity of exposures are features that define our unique terroir, the perfect craddle for our vibrant, expressive wines. The estate’s unique “terroir” shows in the wines of Quinta da Lapa through their outstanding freshness and aging potential.
The great and capricious Tagus takes up, in this region, a particular historical splendour, in being both the link with Lisbon and historically the route of trade and communications with all of Europe. The Templars’ castles and the great cultivated plains testify to this fact.
All of our wines are vegan, as in the fining / filtering process we do not use any binding agents of animal origin.

Winemaker's Tasting Notes
Intense ruby red in colour, this wine captivates for its well defined aromas of ripe fruit, with hints of spice and fine toast. On the palate it is seductively expressive, revealing well-integrated red fruit with polished tannins leading to a lingering elegant finish.
90 Points - Wine Enthusiast
This wine is now mature with firm tannins and spicy wood and fruit flavors. The edge of Cabernet Sauvignon and Touriga Nacional in the blend has given the wine its shape and concentration. Drink this fine wine from 2019.
Ian Blackburn Review: I was impressed with the wine value here. I will sell this wine for less than $12 and think it would be hard to find a wine of this quality for less. The 2012 is in a really good state - I think even NEW WORLD wine lovers would enjoy this wines CHARM and SITUATION. Nice Fruit, spice, minerality, acidity, structure and now with age - balance is in a good spot. Opened on Monday - Drank thru Thursday which says a lot about the condition this wine is in. Agree 90 points is a solid score.
