4. Herdade Paço do Conde, Exclusive Selection Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Portugal
Much of “Herdade Paço do Conde” is located between the remains of an old Roman castle next to the Guadiana river and the ancient Roman city of “Vilares”. Herdade Paço do Conde has been in the possession of the Castelo Branco family for more than three centuries. The origin of one of the oldest agricultural companies in the country, founded in 1928 under the name Sociedade Agrícola Paço do Conde, is ensured today with the management of the current owners, José António Ferrão Castelo Branco, Luís Miguel Ferrão Castelo Branco and Maria Luísa Castelo Branco Schmidt, the grandchildren of the founder.
