Overview of the Wine
Behind the wine stands the human being ......who created it with nature. Birgit Eichinger is a winemaker with great care, consistency and sensitivity, and at the same time deeply rooted in her homeland, the Kamptal. It is the epitome of highly elegant wines with a strong character. For Birgit, great wines are created in the head and in the heart. Further development does not stand still, individuality instead of mainstream is her credo. She is supported by her husband Christian and her daughter Gloria.

Success takes space. This is why the company has grown to 15 hectares since it was founded in 1992 - of course in the best Kamptal vineyards. Birgit Eichinger is a member of “11 women and their wines”. The exchange with her colleagues, thinking outside the box and, above all, the tolerance, curiosity, friendship and warmth that accompany her in her work. It is also one of the "Austrian traditional wineries", the best wineries in the Danube region, or "ÖTW" for short. Among other things, she is actively involved in the classification of the "first layers".

The further development of the "first layers" ...... is important to us. In 1992, a small group of model winemakers from the Danube region came together to focus primarily on one topic: the locations and the resulting interrelationships between the quality and identity of their wines. Today there are over 25 member companies on board. The constant concern: the continuation of the site classification. Because the same quality does not grow everywhere where vines are planted. We feel committed to this search and are actively involved in the “work in progress”, where all current knowledge and our long-term experience are brought together.

Winemaker's Tasting Notes
Medium deep golden colour with a bright hue. Pure and intense nose of ripe yellow fruit, some stony hints and ripe citrus. Very good grip on the palate, full and dense with good layers, a bright freshness, zesty notes, lush yellow fruit and a very long, pure finish. Excellent stuff.

94 Points - Wine Enthusiast
A wonderfully intense nose speaks of yarrow and moss, mirabelle plums and lifted, invigorating freshness. The palate fizzes away with flavor and excitement. This is a very lively, concentrated wine that flirts with us right now but has its real treasure of fruit still buried in its deep core. This will blossom with bottle age: Right now, the zesty tangerine peel flavors merely hint at the pleasures to come.
