Overview of the Wine
The domain has belonged to the Benoit family for more than 100 years. The owner today Jérôme Benoit is educated as an oenolog and decided to bottle the wines at the domain. Therefore new cellars were built in 2002.
The vineyard is located on the stony and clay-limestone plateau of Vacqueyras, and is composed of 50% Grenache (10 years) and 50% Syrah (10 years). To drink at 16 ° C with a Marseillaise beef, spicy meat, or Asian cuisine such as caramel pork for example, but also with a Valais raclette or roast quail ... Can be kept for 10 years.

93 points - Ian Blackburn
Dark, deep, dense, spicy, superb concentration from a great vintage. Lavish and exotic ripe fruit decorated with ripe olive, grilled bread... once reviewed with concern, this wine is now 5 years old and proving 90 point reviews wrong... this is so much better today... and is an excellent version from one of my favorite AOC in the Rhone.
