Overview of the Wine
Cannubi is probably one of the most complex and fascinating area cru Barolo. With its strategic location, this hill gathers in harmony deep and compact soils of the Elveziano side of the Barolo area (Sandstone of Diano D’Alba and clay with lime content) represented by the municipalities of Monforte d’Alba, Castiglione Falletto, Serralunga d’Alba and the most delicate and soft elements of the Tortoniano component (Marl of Sant’Agata Fossil) found in the village of La Morra and Verduno.
The uniqueness of this vineyard is gathered in the unique union of the two main sides of the area of Barolo (Elveziano and Tortoniano) principally made of thin sand and limestone which combined with the microclimatic conditions and the exposure lend the wine fullness, elegance, delicacy and longevity.
Works in the vineyard do not really follow specific rules:every year they get adapted to the vine’s different needs, due to the weather conditions of that year.
We do believe that every plant is unique and different from the others, this is why each stage, from pruning to thinning, is accomplished in a very meticulous way in order to safeguard the vine and respect its productive capacity. Our objective is that of producing an healthy and high quality grape, in the respect and safeguard of the biodiversity that makes our vineyards so unique.

95 Points - Wine Enthusiast
Camphor, rose and crushed mint aromas mingle with star anise on this fragrant red. Firmly structured and showing finesse, the youthfully austere palate offers pomegranate, sour cherry, licorice and ground clove alongside assertive tannins. It's balanced, with fresh acidity. Drink 2027–2037.
