Overview of the Brand
Chêne Bleu is named for an aged oak tree preserved on this isolated estate high on the slopes of the Dentelles de Montmirail. Here in the foothills of Mont Ventoux, where the boundaries of Gigondas, Côtes du Ventoux, Côtes du Rhône and Séguret come together, the Rolet family discovered an abandoned property with a unique terroir. Dating back to the early Middle Ages, the estate had once been a priory of the Knights Templar. Restoration of the ancient monastery spanned more than a decade. The vineyards had long been neglected but were growing on complex mineral and limestone soils. Reclamation of the vineyards led to excavation for a gravity-flow winery, which led to exceptional, estate-grown Rhône varietal wines. Organic and biodynamic practices are followed to maintain this pristine environment.

Tasting Notes
Our rich and complex white wine that’s the perfect accompaniment to succulent dishes. A blend of Roussanne complemented by Grenache Blanc and Marsanne, Aliot is perfumed and powerful. Its rich concentration of fruit and dense structure make it an ideal candidate for oak-aging, which we employ to craft a true vin-de-garde. Its complexity, exotic aromatics and long aging potential have made Aliot an award-winning wine since its inaugural vintage. Burgundy-style white, pairs beautifully with salmon or poultry in white sauce, pâté, vegetables such as asparagus and artichokes and traditional French cheeses. Serve lightly chilled at 14°C. Aging potential: 10-12 years.

Appearance: An attractive golden yellow, bright and clear with greenish tints.
Nose: Rich and complex aromas with notes of lemongrass and buttery brioche with a touch of honey. Palate: Fresh and refined with a light minerality. Touches of lime. Full-bodied and smooth. Finish: Long. Aging potential: 5-6 years.
