Overview of the Wine
Our history, It is on the foothills of the Dent de Signac that this estate, founded around the 10th century by Benedictine monks, nests.

The Dent of Signac, twin mountain of Caesar's camp, is an escarpment resulting from the Alpine thrusts of the Miocene. The limestone sediments resulting from its erosion have come to mingle with the marine sediments composing the bottom of the valley, thus constituting our unique terroir.

The air flow that runs along its slopes protects our vines from disease, allowing us to naturally limit our treatments and our environmental impact.

The mountain of the Dent de Signac not only brings us a unique terroir, it also forms a veritable setting in the heart of which the estate is nestled. It was founded around the 10th century by Benedictine monks in the heart of this splendid landscape. We will welcome you with great pleasure in this exceptional landscape.

Winemaker's Tasting Notes
The Pliocene cuvée from Château Signac is vinified with the aim of expressing all the aromatic potential of the Grenache, Carignan, Syrah and Mourvèdre grape varieties. This blend offers a beautiful expression of red and black fruits, such as sour cherry, blueberry, but also peach and melon. The palate is supple and greedy with superb drinkability.

92 Points - Ian Blackburn - Sommelier and Teacher
I taste wine for a living and celebrate the great value finds - this is my wine of the week - August 1, 2021.  This wine BRINGS IT - the noise is lovely and developed, a combination of dark fruits, terroir (stone, wet clay) and a lovely V8 / tomato leaf element.  I mark this higher than most wines in its category, as it is an overachiever and perhaps benefits from its 2016 vintages (Tasted in 2020).  This gregarious blend is hard not to love… and yet has charm for the francofile, and hedonistic traits for the bold wine lover.  The finish - have you ever tasted a wine that leaves you smiling the next day… the finish isn’t over yet.  Color 14/15, Aromas 23/25, Body 23/25, Overal 32/35 = 92
