Its ancestral, now-renovated vineyard stretches across 12 parcels (14 hectares), composed primarily of the Tannat grape variety. The skilled hand of four artisan winegrowers enables this varietal to achieve its ultimate expression on its native soil\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHistorical research demonstrates that this is one of the oldest seigneurial properties in the Vic-Bilh region. Although the entrance gate is marked with the year 1583, this date refers to a restoration, proving an even greater construction antiquity. We owe this exceptional built heritage to the Arricau seigneury, with the first documented evidence of its existence dating back to 1150. Château Arricau-Bordes was restored in 1968 after several decades of neglect. The cellars were also renovated during that period by the owner at the time.
