Brown Estate Betelgeuse Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley, California, 2018
Overview of the Wine
In 1980, the family acquired land in the hills east of Rutherford in the Napa Valley. They were farmers first, and farmers they remain. In 1995 they decided on the strength of the fruit to make wine under their own label. The following year the family produced the first vintage of zinfandel, and along the way we have added cabernet sauvignon, chardonnay, petite sirah, and the occasional dessert wine.

Winemaker's Tasting Notes
This wine is our endless summer in a bottle—straw gold and flaxen with refreshing clarity. Tropical fruit notes delight the nose, commingled with subtle citrus, fever grass, and lemon verbena. Night blooming jasmine and honeysuckle are shadowed by stone fruit, lychee, and frankincense. Palate delights with a cascade of vibrant pineapple and luxurious guava, finishing with delicate rosewater and effervescent bergamot. Enjoy ice cold now through 2022.
