Overview of the Wine
André Robert is a small family estate that has been farming and making wine in Champagne for several generations in the Grand Cru village of Mesnil sur Oger in the Côte des Blancs. In 1960, André Robert bought the estate as it is today and began bottling and selling his own Champagne in 1962, something extremely rare for the time. Today, Bertrand Robert and his daughter, Claire, run the estate, which is spread over 14 hectares, focusing mostly on Chardonnay from their HVE (High Environmental Value) certified vineyards in Les Mesinl sur Oger. Bertrand ages many his base wines in oak barrels, keeping them on the lees for seven months without malolactic conversion to add complexity and roundness to his Champagnes.

Winemaker's Tasting Notes
Light golden colour. The nose is expressive, with aromas of citrus fruits, white flowers, as well as slightly buttery notes. In the mouth, the wine tastes fresh, with notes of mineral, with a good length.
94 Points - Ian Blackburn
A top find - Best Bottle Dollar for Dollar. A “femine” and elegant wine, focused wine of pedigree fruit / vineyard. Great chalk minerality with clean, pure chardonnay expression with the most gentle kiss of lees and toast - truly surprising!
