Overview of the Wine
In the heart of the Baja’s tranquil Valle De Guadalupe, near the town of El Porvenir and about 40 minutes from the port of Ensenada, Adobe Guadalupe welcomes you with a glass of wine and gracious hospitality.

Adobe Guadalupe is more than just another winery. Our vines of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Nebbiolo, Tempranillo, Malbec, Grenache, Cinsault, Mourvedre, Syrah, and Viognier grapes cover 60 scenic acres, bordered by orchards of highly productive olive trees and pomegranate bushes. Adobe Guadalupe has been around longer than most---we began planting our vines in 1997 and celebrated our first harvest in 2000. Today, our wines are acknowledged to be among the best in Mexico, and you can enjoy tastings, offered daily, in either our Cava, or in our Tienda de Adobe (boutique) and take home a bottle or two of your favorite archangel.

Expressive nose with aromas of blackberries, roses and spices such as vanilla. Soft and elegant tannins with a balanced acidity.

Review by Ian Blackburn - 95 Points (2018)

A benchmark producer for the region, this is a deep, dense, dark, yet elegant wine with finesse, style, and sophistication. Baja’s mosaic is on display with this artful blend that shows both hedonistic joy, and quality marks of a great producer. The nose is broad and bold and excites with earth, rock, spice, fruit, and expressions of soil; a good expensive wood streak holds it together as well. There is a calm here, a wine that shows it will age gracefully and reward some time in the cellar but also a flirtatious fun streak that says, "Drink me now!" The potential is exciting but so is the “Now" factor - the abundance of good fruit will continue to melt together with the wood features, but it all happens in the palate and the bluer tones are expressed in this more ambitious Baja estate. Absolutely a benchmark for Baja. 95 points.
